The Museum Chair is a one-off creation by the gentle genius of Jonny Hannah, made for our Summer 2016 show, painted here in Little Toller’s log shed using acrylic and enamel paints. If you would like to commission Jonny to create something special for you, please get in touch.
Jonny enjoys nothing better than going to his studio to illustrate, paint and savour the odd Tunnocks Caramel Wafer with a fresh cup of coffee. It is under the moniker of the Cakes & Ale Press, a highly successful cottage industry, that he has industriously published his limited edition affordable prints and artists books. Recently he has started to paint the odd objet d’art, painting on guitars, suitcases, toy cars, coffee pots, plates and chairs, which is why he journeyed to Little Toller. Here, working in our woodshed, he painted his unique stories onto various chairs gathered in from nearby secondhand shops and auctions.
Large artwork will be shipped to UK mainland addresses by courier for a cost of £45. As this is an unusual piece, please contact us to arrange delivery.
