Martin Maudsley: Telling the Seasons

Join our good friend and Little Toller bookseller, Martin Maudsley for a special evening to celebrate his book Telling The Seasons (just published by History Press) on 13th December at 7pm at our bookshop in Beaminster.

Telling the Seasons takes us on a journey through the year with stories, customs and celebrations. Drawing on the folklore and nature from across the British Isles it is a colourful guide to how we continue to mark the seasons. Full of drawings, sayings, songs, rhymes and recipes, it’s a perfect Christmas gift.

Martin, a Dorset-based storyteller, will be joined by fiddle-player Lucy Roberts, weaving a special evening of folk tales and song. As well as a Q&A session, Martin will sign copies of his book (£14.99, usual price £15.99). Tickets include a glass of mulled wine (£5 from eventbrite).
