CHRISTOPHER MATTHEWS is a photographer living in Chelmsford with an abiding interest in place. His documentary projects are in the collection of Te Papa Tongarewa, the Museum of New Zealand, and since living in the UK he has made work about cultural sites in Israel, the landscapes and architecture of the Cold War, the north Essex landscapes of the painter John Nash, and is currently working on a portfolio of East Anglian photographs by the photojournalist Kurt Hutton. Christopher is also a lecturer at the UCC School of Art, Colchester.
