An audience with Richard Mabey

To celebrate the publication of the Richard Mabey Library, an audience with the author, filmed in front of a live audience at Selborne Village Hall, Hampshire in November 2021. The event was organised by the Selborne Local Committee of the National Trust and Friends of Selborne.

 

 

 

The Richard Mabey Library, consisting of Nature Cure, Beechcombings, Gilbert White and The Unofficial Countryside, all with new forewords by the author and jackets by Michael Kirkman, is published in November 2021. A very limited edition with slipcase of all four books will be available from December 2021.

An audience with Richard Mabey

An Audience with Richard Mabey will be held on Saturday 13th November at Selborne Village Hall, an event designed as a Q&A session with ‘Britain’s greatest living nature writer’.

 

Richard Mabey is author of some forty books including Flora Britannica, Food for Free and the Whitbread Prize winning biography of Gilbert White. The evening will also be the launch event for The Richard Mabey Library, the re-publication of four of Mabey’s principal works by specialist publisher Little Toller, to mark Richard’s 80th Birthday.

 

The audience in Selborne Village Hall will have the opportunity to put questions to Richard who will appear from his home in Norfolk via live video link. The event will also be streamed to a national audience.

 

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cost £12, £10 if you are a Friend of Selborne Common (there will be no tickets available on the door).
